
Dr. Julie Lin Baveja
Dr.
Julie Lin Baveja was born in Taiwan and was raised in Silver Spring,
Maryland. She graduated
from University of Maryland College Park with a Bachelor of Science
degree and then a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering.
She then worked as a computer programmer in the engineering
field for two years.
During this time, she volunteered in different facilities taking
care of sick children including special needs.
Her background in engineering and passion for working with
children led her to a path towards pediatric dentistry.
In 1999, Dr. Baveja entered dental school at Baltimore
College of Dental Surgery at University of Maryland and graduated
with a Doctor of Dental Science degree.
She went on to complete a General Practice Residency and then
a Pediatric Dental Residency at Brookdale University Hospital
Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
As a Pediatric Dentistry Fellow, she received an award for
the Most Outstanding Resident of the Year.
After graduation, Dr. Baveja worked as an Associate in
Boston, Massachusetts and in Silver Spring, Maryland prior to moving
to Northern Virginia.
She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Baveja, her husband and two daughters reside in Vienna,
Virginia. During her
free time, she enjoys volunteering in community services, traveling,
doing outdoor activities, such as gardening and spending time with
her family and friends.
